THE FIRST VISIT

Your unique set of symptoms requires an individual solution.

THE CONSULTATION

We get to know your health history and health goals

During our initial consultation, we will have a comprehensive medical intake. Sports acupuncture consultations are often brief, while Chinese medicine consultations tend to explore past and current health on a deeper level and last longer. Tongue observation and pulse examination are also used as diagnostic tools.

THE TREATMENT

A treatment plan is uniquely customized to you

After our consultation, we transition into treatment using a variety of Chinese medicine therapies. In sports acupuncture treatments, dry needling may also be paired with therapeutic massage, cupping, and manual traction techniques. In Chinese medicine treatments, acupuncture is often accompanied by other forms of bodywork, such as massage, cupping, or moxibustion. Herbal medicine may also be prescribed to enhance treatment.

THE PLAN

An individualized plan with a clear path forward

You will leave your first appointment with a tangible treatment plan and a realistic assessment of how I can help you. A plan includes the number of treatments you will need, a customized herbal formula (if appropriate), and nutritional & lifestyle advice.

Hannah will discuss a treatment plan and guide you on the results you can expect. Often, patients will notice relief from a specific symptom straight away, though more time may be needed to work on the underlying root of the issue.
